Exclusive Track Premiere: “Snuff Film” by Paul Booth (Featuring Eve Minor)

On September 28, Paul Booth — one of the world’s most acclaimed tattoo artists, owner and proprietor of New York City’s esteemed Last Rites gallery, and the designer of iconic album covers for bands like Pig Destroyer, Deicide, and Mudvayne — will release Nihilistic Melodies, a new collection of fourteen industrial-tinged dark electronica tracks. As its title suggests, this album is an exploration of the aurally aphotic, so bottomless and black that it should come with a head lamp; it is also pleasing to the ear! The inclusion of the word “melodies” is neither accidental nor ironic.

But don’t take our word for it: just check out the lead single from Nihilistic Melodies, “Snuff Film,” which MetalSucks is honored to be debuting today! Featuring vocals by NYC’s own Eve Minor, “Snuff Film” is terrifying, hypnotic, and instantly memorable. In other words, it’s a great primer for Nihilistic Melodies.

Once you’ve fallen in love with “Snuff Film,” pre-order Nihilistic Melodies here. Self-produced by Paul, the album features vocals not only by the aforementioned Eve Minor, but also by Lane Shi and Nan Li, whose traditional Tuvan throat singing helps to create perfectly haunting choruses for several songs.
