Video: Ice-T Tries Both a Bagel and Coffee for the First Time Ever
A tweet by rapper and Body Count frontman Ice-T made the rounds a couple of weeks ago when a fan questioned why the Law & Order: SVU star was shown eating a cinnamon raisin bagel — the horror! — in a recent episode of the show. The script was written that way, he claimed, along with the following bomb: “Lol. I’ve never eaten a Bagel in my life…”

Some enterprising young whippersnapper at the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel took notice and was able to sign on Ice to participate in a brilliant advertising video segment for the company in which the man who sings “Talk shit, get shot” tries both a bagel and coffee — the latter of which he also claims he’s never had before — for the very first time and shares his thoughts. And the results are predictably hysterical. Watch:

I still find it flabbergasting that he’s made it SIXTY years without ever having had a bagel — Law & Order doesn’t have them at catering? he never got curious? — but mostly I’m shocked and dismayed that his first bagel came from anywhere other than New York City. Even worse, Los Angeles! THAT is true horror. Fake news!
