Baroness Announce New Album Colors, Preview New Song

Earlier this week Baroness’s Instagram account began posting all of their previous album covers with the corresponding Pantone colors as captions. And today, as predicted, they’ve dropped the Pantone colors for their new album (along with a preview of a song).

And the new Baroness album will be called… Gold and Cool Gray, if the Pantone colors 871 C and 8 C are to be taken literally! Or, more likely, Gold and Silver. The insinuation here is that it’ll be another double album, like 2012’s Yellow and Green, which is pretty neat if you ask me.

The visualizer for the song clip contains the caption “hear the rest of this new song on tour,” a reference to the band’s co-headlining tour with Deafheaven that kicks off TODAY. Presumably there will be cell phone versions of this song all over the internet tomorrow, so we’ll certainly keep you all posted.
