New Ozzy Album Coming in January 2020

Surprise! Not only has Ozzy finished a new solo album, which he revealed last month, but it’s coming sooner than expected: January 2020, according to his wife and manager, Sharon.

The Zakk Wylde-less affair comes in the wake my myriad health issues for Ozzy, who once again postponed a planned tour that had already been rescheduled once. Here’s what Sharon told SiriusXM’s Jess Cagle: “He’s getting there. He’s just finished an album, the album’s coming out [in] January.”

She went on to describe his excitement over his recent collaboration with Post Malone. “It’s doing great, it’s on Top 40 radio and it’s climbing every week. It’s been a huge boost for him because he felt literally worthless.” She elaborated that his recent health struggles have been incredibly demoralizing for him, saying, “He goes, ‘I miss my life, I want my life back.’ It’s been really hard on him. But he’s getting there. He’ll be back.”

In fact, Sharon seemed confident that Ozzy would, eventually, complete the trek: “He has another year and a half to do. And these kids have held on to their [postponed show] tickets for over a year. And he’s gonna go back and he’s gonna fulfill that commitment; he’s gonna play those shows. And he’s not totally retiring, but the touring, he won’t do any more touring.”
