Deftones, Gojira and Poppy Tour Officially Announced!

0

News slipped yesterday that Deftones, Gojira and Poppy were plotting a summer tour together when one of the tour’s promoters accidentally let a date leak. Now all three of the bands involved have officially announced the run and unveiled all of the dates, scheduled from late July through early September mostly at outdoor amphitheaters.

As a fan of all three of these acts, I, for one, am STOKED on this lineup. I haven’t seen Deftones in a few years and they never, ever disappoint. Gojira are probably the best live band currently working in metal, and the opportunity to perform in front of Deftones fans, offering an expansion of their audience, is too good to pass up (very possibly in conjunction with a new album). For Poppy, WOW, what a get for her! She’ll fit right in, and having just seen her perform last week I have to imagine that fans of the above bands outside of the diehardiest of the diehard Gojira stans will be super into it.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 14, at 10am local time. Keep an eye on those right here.
