Speaking of The Acacia Strain…

Frankie Palmeri made a funny! Emmure’s new song is called “I’ve Scene God.” See what he did there?

As you may have guessed, the track seems to be about scene music. There’s even a part where Frankie raps references to various scene bands, like Attila, Thy Art is Murder, Stray from the Path, Knocked Loose, and Stick to Your Guns:

Say you stick to your guns
But you stray from the path
Not a killa like attila when you feel my fucking wrath.
Broken teeth get knocked loose when I get nasty.
Murder thy art when I’m stepping on a track, see.
Nails in the coffin. Ice in my vein.
Pass me the crown so fit for a king.

In case there was any doubt based on Frankie’s past history with some of these bands, the next verse makes it pretty clear the vocalist is calling out his buddies:

See, you can be next.
Yeah, you can be the one.
But you’ll never be me.
So you’ll never be God.

You, too, can see God, via the below visualizer. Emmure’s new album, Hindsight, comes out June 26 via SharpTone Records.
