Slipknot, High on Fire, Royal Thunder Members Cover Bruce Springsteen

Two Minutes to Late Night host Gwarsenio Hall (aka Jordan Olds) continues his crusade to assemble every metal musician in the known universe for quarantine covers, this time grabbing Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg, High on Fire bassist Jeff Matz, Royal Thunder vocalist/bassist Mlny Parsonz, Cave In / Mutoid Man singer/guitarist Stephen Brodsky, and Shearwater and Loma keyboard player Emily Lee for a version of Bruce Springsteen’s “Candy’s Room.”

Weinberg’s father Max, of course, has been the drummer for Bruce’s E-Street Band for decades, so the cover arrived as a Father’s Day gift of sorts for the elder Weinberg.

Previous covers by Gwarsenio and friends include a version of Steely Dan’s “Reelin’ in the Years” featuring members of High on Fire, Mutoid Man and Spirit Adrift, a version of Ozzy’s “Crazy Train” featuring Chelsea Wolfe with members of The Dillinger Escape Plan and Old Man Gloom, a version of Danzig’s “Snakes of Christ” featuring members of Baroness and Candiria, and White Zombie’s “Super-Charger Heaven” by Converge, Fit for an Autopsy, Mutoid Man, and more.
