System of a Down Release Video for “Genocidal Humanoidz”

System of a Down have unveiled a music video for “Genocidal Humanoidz,” one of the two tracks the band put out in November after 15 years of no new music from the outfit.

The video was unveiled during a livestream the band hosted yesterday, January 30, which saw over 150,000 fans tune in. The streaming event served as a fundraiser for Artsakh and Armenian soldiers injured in the Nagorno-Karabakh war last fall, the same conflict which saw the band members put aside longstanding differences to record and release the two new songs.

A video for the other new song, “Protect the Land,” has been available since November.

Last week, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian slammed former President Donald Trump for signing a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ with Turkey as one of his final acts in office. According to The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), the agreement is “a disastrous bilateral U.S.-Turkey Memorandum of Understanding granting Turkey legal rights over the vast religio-cultural heritage of the region’s indigenous peoples and other minority populations.” In response, Tankian noted that he has “Never seen a president suck so much cock.”

Drummer John Dolmayan, a frequent supporter of Donald Trump who has continually slammed the Black Lives Matter movement, has not commented on the accord.
