King Crimson’s Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox Cover Alice Cooper’s “Poison”

Will the law of diminishing returns with regards to internet virality come for King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and his wife, the actress and singer Toyah Willcox? Eventually, yes, but the duo are still going strong with their “Sunday Lunch” series of cover videos.

The pair struck viral gold a few weeks back when their cover of Metallica’s “Enter the Sandman” (how they wrote it) took off, and subsequent versions of songs by Billy IdolGuns N’ RosesJimi Hendrix and Joan Jett have also attracted quite a bit of attention, in no small part thanks to Willcox’s outfit choices and enthusiastic delivery.

Their latest, a version of Alice Cooper’s “Poison,” already has a quarter of a million views since it’s publication yesterday, so I’d say they’re still doing alright. At the same time, the public appetite for these videos — at least as far as MS traffic numbers go — seems to have waned a bit since the Metallica clip and the one or two after.

Even so, the pair’s latest video is fun. Enjoy it below!
