Sevendust Announce Seasons and Home Full Album Livestream Concerts

0

Following successful full album livestream performances of their self-titled debut (1997) and Animosity (2001), Sevendust have announced they will give Home (1999) and Seasons (2003) the same treatment at two shows on back-to-back nights in April.

Sevendust performed Home in full at a special hometown show in Atlanta on New Year’s Eve 2018/2019 (and possibly a handful of other shows around that time — I’m not 100% certain), but to my knowledge this will be the first time they’ve played a number of the cuts from Seasons live in many years, some possibly for the first time ever.

The band has often not reflected fondly on Seasons — which was produced by Butch Walker, best known for his work in the pop field — looking back on that era as a turbulent time in the band when they were pushed into going more mainstream than they wanted. “Enemy” and “Face to Face” have been consistent live set staples over the years, with other tracks occasionally working their way in.

I love Seasons, for what it’s worth; it might even be my favorite 7D album. I can’t wait to hear some of those songs live, even if it’s not in person.

Home, needless to say, is a less controversial pick. The album ushered the band into the mainstream and remains a fan favorite.

The Seasons livestream will take place on April 10 at 9pm EST, while the Home performance will broadcast on April 11 at 7pm EST. Buy tickets here, including an option for both together for just $30.
