Rammstein Were a Clue on Jeopardy!

Rammstein can now count themselves among the many metal bands to appear as questions on the long-running TV game show Jeopardy!, joining Rob ZombieToolMorbid Angel, Obituary, Pantera and Motörhead, all of whom have been featured in recent years.

German’s greatest metal exports appeared on the episode that aired on Thursday, July 22, in a clue read by guest host Robin Roberts (the latest celebrity to fill in for the late Alex Trebek). Rammstein and their iconic frontman Till Lindemann appeared in the category “‘MM’ Pop,” which consisted of musical artists with two consecutive M’s in their name, and read as follows:

“Till Lindemann is the frontman of this metal band that doubles the ‘M’ of a U.S. Air Force base in Germany.”

That airforce base is Ramstein, and the band, of course, is Rammstein. Running Jeopardy! champ Matt Amodio answered correctly but mispronounced the name as “ram-steen,” only to be corrected by Roberts (Amodio still got credit for a correct answer).
