Beavis and Butt-Head Do The Universe Drops This July, Will Be A Space Movie

0

Last month, we got our first look at the middle-aged Beavis and Butt-Head from Paramount+’s upcoming new film surrounding the nacho-grubbing duo. Now, more information has been revealed about the new movie, including the plot and release month.

According to Deadline, the new movie will be called Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe, and will be a space film. The movie will premiere in July.

Here’s the plot synopsis:

“In perhaps the dumbest space movie ever made, Beavis and Butt-Head are sentenced to Space Camp by a ‘creative’ judge in 1998. Their obsession with a docking simulator (huh huh) leads to a trip on the Space Shuttle, with predictably disastrous results. After going through a black hole, they reemerge in our time, where they look for love, misuse iPhones, and are hunted by the Deep State. Spoiler: They don’t score.”

Terrific.

Not only that, but following the movie, a new Beavis and Butt-Head series will come out soon after. And if you thought the plot synopsis of the film sounded astoundingly dumb, well…

Beavis and Butt-head are back and stupider than ever

Give those copywriters at Paramount+ a raise, they really outdid themselves this time.

Of course, on top of all of this, Paramount+ will be streaming the entire 200+ episode library of Beavis and Butt-Head, which will be the ultimate score of the show being acquired and streamed by them. The question we all have is, will they be able to show the metal videos from the original? Beavis and Butt-Head was all fine as a cartoon show — they got rabies, they failed at getting laid, funny, yeah — but twenty-plus years since they aired, part of the allure would definitely be watching vintage White Zombie and Pantera videos between their escapades. Which, funnily enough, was what a lot of kids would fast-forward through while watching the original in the ’90s.

Anyway: keep your eyes peeled for more Beavis and Butt-Head news moving forward.
