Tool Announce Deluxe Vinyl Box Set of Fear Inoculum That Costs Less Than $750 (But Is Still Super Expensive)
Earlier this week, we reported on how progresssive metallers Tool were selling a ‘tour edition’ vinyl box set of their 2019 smash album Fear Inoculum for $810. It was later revealed that the band, in a generous mood, lowered the price to a scant $750. Now, Tool have announced that the vinyl box set will be available to everyone, and it won’t cost that much — even if it’s still pretty expensive.
The new civilian version of the Fear Inoculum box set comes with the album spread out across five LPs, each with limited-edition art on the non-playable side. The set also features brand new art and ‘etchings,’ apparently, which was once what you offered to show somebody when you wanted to take them home and bang them. So, you know, just be aware, Maynard’s DTF.
The whole thing costs around $165 on Amazon Music, which is still steep given that it’s five records but just one album. That said, if you’re a collector, this probably isn’t about the album. It’s about your weakness in the face of your own obsession. Fun!
