Exclusive Clip: Invincible Czars Honor 100 Years of ‘Nosferatu’ by Taking Their Original Score On a Movie Theater Tour

0

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Nosferatu, the silent vampire film which to this day might be the greatest horror movie of all time. And while countless goth and metal bands have set the film to their music, or played a show in front of a midnight screening of the movie, none have done the film justice like Austin’s Invincible Czars. Their original score for the film is a folkish, psychological journey that breathes new life into vampire cinema’s oldest and starkest nightmare. And now, to honor the movie’s one-century birthday, the Czars are taking their Nosferatu score on a tour around America.

The band will perform their original score to Nosferatu at movie theaters across the country, performing it live alongside then film. The shows kick off in early September and end, when else, on Halloween night, in the band’s hometown.

To get a taste of what Invincible Czars bring to Nosferatu, the band have offered us an exclusive clip of the film with their score included. Below you’ll find the infamous ship’s voyage scene, in which the crew are picked off one by one by a hideous night creature.
