Scott Ian, Phil Demmel, and More to Jam Out for Animal Shelter Charity
Next Tuesday, roughly 50 different rock and metal artists will come together to take the stage for the Ultimate Jam Night, a charity concert that aims to benefit Animal Tracks, a southern California sanctuary for endangered animals.
Hosted by comedian Hal Sparks, the show will take place at the famous Whisky A Go Go and will be free to anyone 21 years old and over. Festivities will kick off at 8 p.m. and donations will be collected on site, with all funds generated going directly to help ensure that Animal Tracks can keep running.
This year’s completely unrehearsed concert will feature a star-studded list of performers, including the following:

Since 2002, Animal Tracks has been the home to more than 80 rescued animals. Sadly, these animals are neither suited to be household pets, nor are they easily placed in local zoos. Because of those facts, the shelter provides a living space and constant care to ensure these exotic animals are kept alive and healthy. According to organizers, the money will also help the organization “find new facilities in the face of ongoing zoning issues.”
Chuck Wright, former bassist of Quiet Riot, founded the Ultimate Jam Night back in 2015. Looking forward to this year’s event, he said he was hopeful they’ll be able to ensure Animal Tracks continues running for some time.
“Animal Tracks is a unique southern Californian treasure. Staffed by dedicated volunteers under the direction of a trained exotic animal experts, Animal Tracks takes hard to place endangered animals and gives them a last-chance home and care. Otherwise, these beautiful creatures would be destroyed.”
