Kittie’s New Song “Vultures” Kicked Ass During Their Sick New World Set

0

During their set at the Sick New World Festival in Las Vegas this past Saturday, Canadian outfit Kittie dropped a brand new song on an unsuspecting group of fans that crowded in front of the Sick Stage to catch up with an old favorite.

Scheduled to play on the festival’s Sick Stage, Kittie followed Coal Chamber and left the stage to make way for Sevendust after their set was over. With just a half an hour allotted to the band, Kittie ripped through a number of memorable songs, including “Spit” (you know, that song Poppy covered) and “Brackish.” But as you can see in the clip posted below, it was the new song “Vultures” that caught everybody by surprise.

Though honestly, it shouldn’t be a surprise that new music was coming from Kittie at some point. Morgan Lander already told us we’d be “seeing and hearing” more of the band. With this being the first taste of new Kittie in 2023, it’s exciting to see what comes next from them.

Billed as a day for old nu-metal fans got to dust off their JNCOs and join today’s modern variety of fans in a day of celebrating today’s up-and-comers along with yesteryear’s heavy hitters. Bands like System of a Down, Korn, and Deftones shared the bill with acts like Scowl, Spiritbox, and Fever 333.

So yeah, check out the clip below. It starts right before “Vultures” kicks off, but you can watch the band’s entire half-hour long set if you’d like.
