Watch The Callous Daoboys’ Carson Pace Guzzle an Irresponsible Amount of Starbucks
Man, it’s so hard these days to make it in the music biz. Tour costs are high, merch cuts are a thing, and you’re constantly competing with millions of new songs and artists coming out every day. How the fuck is a rising band supposed to cut through all the noise and bullshit?
If you’re The Callous Daoboys, it turns out the answer is simple: write killer music like their latest single off their upcoming EP God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys titled “Waco Jesus” and then have your vocalist do some wild shit to promote it. And that’s exactly what they did in a recent tweet on the band’s official Twitter (refuse to call it X) page.
What ensues on the post below can only be described as an act of sheer madness. While a segment of the new song plays in the background, Pace is seen straight up taking multiple Pink Drinks from Starbucks straight to the dome.
I don’t know about you, but those drinks look like instant diabetes. They look like they’d be way too sweet, but he’s soldiered on. Eventually, it becomes too much and well, he runs off probably to puke and/or shit is brains out.
Given the fact he risked bodily harm, it only makes sense that you’d check the song out yourself. Realistically, “Waco Jesus” stands on its own two legs, but the stunt really added a new layer for me.
God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys will be released on October 20 via MNRK Heavy / Modern Static Records, but you can preorder your copy today in a variety of formats, including 12″ 45RPM vinyl, though that’s limited to 1000 copies across three variants.
