The Callous Daoboys Announce Download Fest-Adjacent Shows
Mathcore madcap motherfuckers The Callous Daoboys announced a couple months ago that they’d be playing a set at this year’s Download Festival, which is a crazy exciting proposition for a band on its way up in the world. But they apparently need a couple reps in front of a U.K. crowd before they hit that massive stage — so they recently announced a short run of U.K. tour dates ahead of that big day.
Heading out in support of last year’s release, an EP titled God Smiles Upon The Callous Daoboys, the band’s been able to do some really interesting shit lately. Naturally, that’s led to more and more eyes landing on their wild brand of sonic chaos.
Speaking of their latest release, vocalist Carson Pace said the band’s lucky enough to be able to just do what it wants.
“We’re at this point where we’re not trying to prove anything. We just wanna be ourselves, and we wanna write the exact music that we would wanna hear out of this band.”
In 2022, they released the highly praised full-length album Celebrity Therapist, which like most of their discography is equal parts weird and experimental while also sounding catchy as hell.
