Sleep Token Announce Headlining U.K. Arena Tour

0

Things may not have been smooth sailing for a recent ticket presale for Sleep Token fans, but hopefully history won’t repeat itself when tickets for a newly announced U.K. arena tour go on sale.

The five new dates feature the band playing headlining “rituals” in five of the U.K.’s biggest indoor venues, with shows slated for the iconic O2 in London and Manchester’s new Co-Op Live. The tour will kick off from November 25 in Glasgow, Scotland and come to an end on November 30 when they play the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales.

It’s not long ago that the band headlined Wembley Arena, which in and of itself is a huge deal. With this new announcement of huge shows in their native country, Sleep Token only seek to build upon their rocketing popularity. Say what you will about their TikTok stardom or whatever, but their music is bringing a more online and younger cohort into the metal fold, much to the chagrin of a buncha crusty old metal elitists.

Last year was a huge one for Sleep Token, with the release of Take Me Back To Eden. Most recently, the band was in the middle of a bit of a kerfuffle, as AEG fucked up the presale process for the band’s North American tour. AEG has since issued an apology, while the band cancelled all bot and scalper ticket purchases to free them up for fans.

As for this go around, tickets for the U.K. arena tour, with the band offering an exclusive presale window starting at 10 a.m. this Wednesday. Fans that want to take part in the presale will have to sign up for the privilege. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 9 at 10 a.m. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
