Slipknot’s Playing a Small Venue in California This Week, Good Luck Getting Tickets (Update: Sold Out)

And the hits keep coming, people. Not even 24 hours after announcing two 25th anniversary shows in Mexico later this year, Slipknot are giving fans in California (or those with the means to drop everything and go) a chance to catch them in a ridiculously small venue. Here’s hoping the stage is big enouhg.

According to the band’s “You Can’t Kill Me” website, they’re going to play their first show with Eloy Casagrande their new drummer at Pappy + Harriet’s in Pioneertown, California this Thursday, April 25. If you aren’t familiar with that venue — and really, who isn’t, amirite? — then you know that location can fit roughly 350 people indoors and 850 outdoors according to IndieOnTheMove, so that’s a ridiculously small show for a band like Slipknot.

What’s even crazier is the fact that the tickets will be on sale at noon PST/3 p.m. EST (yes, less than half an hour from now) and tickets are only $9. JUST NINE FUCKING DOLLARS. Ticket information can be found at the aforementioned Slipknot site, just keep in mind that these tickets are going to go insanely fast. Details about the tickets and the show were posted as follows:

“$9 Tickets. 2 Tickets Per Person. No refunds, no transfers,” wrote Slipknot of the show. “Extremely limited tickets. Find all the rules, regulations, and event details at the link below before purchasing. Available at Pappy + Harriet’s box office located in the Beer Garden, 12pm – 2pm PST today, and available online here at 12pm PST [here].”

Apparently all the proceeds will be split evenly between the Joshua Tree No Kill Shelter and BOYS & GIRLS CLUB of the Hi Desert, with Pappy + Harriet’s matching up to $5,000.

As for what will happen when the show kicks off, you’ll likely see them introduce their new drummer and their replacement for Craig Jones, as well as see them play at least most of their debut album, if not in its entirety.

Good luck and happy hunting.
