LISTEN NOW: IHSAHN AND DEVIN TOWNSEND TOGETHER ON THE SAME SONG, “INTROSPECTION”

I’ve been listening to Ihsahn’s new album Eremita so much that I can’t keep track of which songs have been made public yet. Oh, just one — “The Paranoid” — that was featured on Candlelight Records’ free downloadable sampler? Well, sheesh, you’re in for a treat today.

The latest Ihsahn track to see the light of day is called “Introspection” and features guest vocals from one Mr. Devin Townsend, meaning it’s sure to give most MetalSucks readers who aren’t Grim Kim extreme double orgasms. It’s remarkably somehow both Ihsahn-like AND Devin-like at the same time; even though as far as I know Ihsahn wrote all the music and just sent the track to Devin for vocals, perhaps Ihsahn asked Devin to guest on this particular track because the music reminded him of Devin’s work.
