“Redemption” Time: Adimiron are Back
Italy’s Adimiron are quickly gaining steam both in the MS Mansion and the metal world at large. They first caught our attention when MS scribe Dave Mustein declared K2 THE Album That Will Fuck Your Face Off in our yearly preview series in January 2012. Then he interviewed them. And then they toured the States with Suffocation, Exhumed, Jungle Rot, Rings of Saturn and Lord of War in 2013, which hopefully you were lucky enough to see.
Two years after forcing their way into our consciousness via the power of their relentless riffs, Adimiron are poised for big things: their forthcoming album Timelapse comes out via Scarlet Records on November 4th, and if the first track they’ve released is any indication it’s gonna be a banger. “Redemption” features incredibly nimble guitar work reminiscent of the dual-lead approach of Mastodon’s Brent Hinds and Bill Kelliher, with an ambitious, proggy approach to songwriting that’s reminiscent of The Ocean’s heavier output and, yes, the aforementioned Mastodon too. Take a listen below and see what you think, but I can’t imagine anyone not liking this!
