Two Women Arrested in Skindred Frontman’s Assault

Last week, Skindred frontman Benji Webbe and his girlfriend were assaulted by a group of women in their hometown of Newport, Wales. Benji’s girlfriend was “dragged around” and verbally abused while Webbe himself was slashed in the face and throat with glass.

Now, Metal Hammer reports that two women have been arrested in relation to the attacks. A forty-year-old woman has been arrested for assault, while a twenty nine-year-old woman has been arrested for affray (a fight that disturbs the public peace) and criminal damage. Both are on bail.

While Webbe was incredibly good-natured in his social media posts about the event, I’m glad justice is being served. Slashing someone’s face and neck with a piece of broken glass is no joke. I hope his attackers get what’s coming to them.
