Ted Nugent is an Anti-Semite
But I couldn’t bring myself to just ignore this.
And, yes, I know I’m playing right into The Nuge’s hands. I know this is a desperate bid for attention, like a small child yelling “LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!” while waving his hands.
But the guy still has fans and I think it’s important his fans realize that to call Ted Nugent “a colossal piece of shit” is an insult to shit, which, at least, serves some necessary biological function in the world, and provides much-needed sustenance for flies. Whereas the only thing Ted Nugent serves is Ted Nugent.
So, with that out of the way, here’s a charming Facebook post Nugent put up yesterday (screen cap here in case he tries to yank it down and pretend it didn’t happen):
The Anti-Defamation League responded via the below comment on Nugent’s post:
“This is nothing short of conspiratorial anti-Semitism. Regardless of one’s views on gun control, this kind of scapegoating of an entire religious group is completely unacceptable and completely divorced from reality. It should go without saying that anti-Semitism has no place in the gun control debate. You should be ashamed for promoting anti-Semitic content, and we hope that good people on both sides of the gun control debate will reject his tactics and his message. We hope you will have the good sense to remove this share immediately so that it does not spread virally across the internet.”
You may be surprised to know that I actually disagree with the ADL: I hope The Nuge doesn’t take the post down. In fact, I hope he has it tattooed on his face. Why?
By the way, Nugent is currently managed by McGhee Entertainment, who also manage Down. Their phone number is (310) 432-2250 if you feel like letting them know how you feel about their clients’ choices in life.
