Anal Blasphemy: More Than Just a Pretty Name

Someone tells you to check out a Finnish band called Anal Blasphemy, whose sole member calls himself “Molestor Kadotus,” and you’re like, “Aw, man, that sounds something my mom would listen to!” And then you see the cover of Molestor’s fourth album, Western Decadence, and you’re DOUBLY turned off, ’cause it looks like the cover of some airport romance novel.

But believe it or not, Anal Blasphemy is actually pretty heavy! The title track from Western Decadence is squalid, fetid, funereal (dat organ tho!) black metal that sounds like it came off a third-generation cassette tape someone used to wipe his ass. In other words: your mom probably won’t like this.
