Babymetal’s Backing Band to Release Their Own Album
The three young women of Babymetal who dance and prance around the stage may be the main attraction, but anyone who’s seen Babymetal live can attest: their backing band, aka the Kami Band, is super legit.
Now it seems as if the Kami Band are releasing their own album: Amazon Japan has an album listed for release tomorrow that a MetalSucks tipster tells us is by Babymetal’s backing band. While the Japanese language page makes it difficult to confirm the release is, in fact, from the Kami Band, several signs point in that direction: Google Translate has the band name as “Temporary Band,” which sort of makes sense under the circumstances, the album is in the J-Pop category, the “What do customers buy after seeing this item?” widget displays all Babymetal stuff and the three musicians in the photo certainly look like those in the below live video I dug up of the Kami Band performing solo and without their masks or costumes. Any Japanese-fluent MS readers out there able to confirm for us?
In any case, the album — which Google translate has as being called Provisional Sound Source – Demo — comes out tomorrow, April 26th. Shipping is available to the US for those inclined: order it on Amazon.
