High on Fire released the limited edition Bat Salad EP on Record Store Day this past April, featuring the title track along with covers of Celtic Frost‘s “Into The Crypts of Rays” and Bad Brains‘ “Don’t Bother Me.” Previously available only on vinyl, Bat Salad appeared on digital platforms this past Friday, July 26th. Bat Salad is presumably the final High on Fire recording to feature founding drummer Des Kensel, who stepped down from the band last week to focus on building a family after a 21-year run.
