Track Premiere: Husbandry, “Lupus Dei”

Husbandry have been on our radar ever since their debut full-length, Fera, landed in 2016. And they haven’t escaped it since: fixtures of the NYC heavy music scene and tour-mates of fellow beloved New Yorkers Moon Tooth, the band’s infectious blend of post-hardcore, melodic metal and alt rock have been forcing folks all over the country to turn their heads and take notice.

The Brooklynites are back with a new single called “Lupus Dei” (Latin for “The Wolf God”), and they’ve bestowed MetalSucks with the privilege of premiering it to the world. The track does what Husbandry have always done well, which is to blend a post-hardcore riff sensibility with an uncanny penchant for outside-the-box melody and powerful, enrapturing vocals with intricately layered harmonies. You’re going to like it, we gar-on-tee.

Husbandry’s new album A Port in a Storm will come out on September 13th; pre-order here. Catch them on tour soon; dates under the embed.
