Marilyn Manson Debuts New Song “Don’t Chase the Dead”

Marilyn Manson has debuted “Don’t Chase the Dead,” the second single from his forthcoming eleventh full-length studio album, We Are Chaos. You can listen to the new song below. The title track is available for streaming here.

Set to be released on September 11, Chaos will be Manson’s first album since 2009’s The High End of Low, and only his third album overrall, not to feature his longtime bassist and collaborator, Jeordie “Twiggy Ramirez” White. White left Manson for a second time in 2017 after he was accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend, Jack Off Jill frontwoman Jessicka Addams.

Manson himself, meanwhile, was recently accused of both physically and psychologically torturing his ex-girlfriend, Westworld star Evan Rachel Wood. Wood and Manson started dating when she was 18 and he was 36. Testifying before the the California Senate Public Safety committee on behalf of the Phoenix Act — which seeks to create exceptions to the statute of limitations for domestic violence crimes in the state of California — Wood did not specially name Manson. But the timeline of her story makes it seem highly unlikely that she would be referring to anyone else.

You can watch video of Wood’s testimony here.
