Volumes Unveil Latest Single, “Bend,” New Album Happier? Coming in November

0

Volumes have released a new track, “Bend,” along with an accompanying video, and they’ve announced their forthcoming album, Happier?, after putting out a series of standalone singles in recent months.

“Bend” is on the poppier side but still has some of the band’s trademark downtuned heaviness, in line with their most recent single “Get Enough.” Two previous singles, “Weighted” and “Pixelate,” were significantly more capital-M Metal for those of you who crave that sorta thing. I dig “Bend,” though, it’s catchy.

On their latest, the band explains:

“‘Bend‘ is about how, in a relationship, sometimes one person can break another while all along they never seem to bend or break themselves. It’s really about how we can easily turn into someone else and start to tear each other down.”

You can give “Bend” a spin below.

Happier?, which will arrive on November 19 through Fearless Records, will see the return of singer Michael Barr, who rejoined to the lineup after a five-year absence in 2020. It will also be the first Volumes record without guitarist Diego Farias, who passed away in early 2020.
