Year of the Knife Release Third Single “Your Control” from No Love Lost

With just a couple weeks left before the release of Year of the Knife‘s forthcoming album No Love Lost, so naturally that means we get another single to tide us over until then. Today’s release, “Your Control,” follows their previous singles “Wish” and “Last Laugh” by continuing the hyper aggression one should expect from the hardcore outfit.

According to the band, the new studio effort will come out on October 27 and will clock in at around 20 minutes for all of its nine new tracks.

Year of the Knife has been in the headlines for a while now, since the band was involved in a serious accident while traveling from Utah to Colorado back in June. According to the band, they were in their touring van when it collided with an 18 wheeler. Everyone in the band was injured in the accident, with Aaron Kisielewski and Andrew Kisielewski both sustaining fractured legs and other trauma and Brandon Watkins sustaining a concussion. Vocalist Madi Watkins took the brunt of the damage, however, sustaining significant injuries that left her in critical condition and facing a long road to recovery.

Luckily, Madi is now out of the hospital and on the road to recovery with the help of her loved ones. Even though she’s out of the hospital, it’s very likely that she’s got some more recovery work ahead of her, including some physical rehab to get moving again.

Proceeds generated by the album will go directly to the band’s recovery efforts, which is separate from the ongoing recovery fund being collected through GoFundMe. So far, fans and musicians from other bands have put up more than $253,000 to help cover any medical bills the members have to pay back, as well as help keep them stay afloat financially. If you can contribute at all, definitely consider doing so.

As for the new record, you can pick your copy up on October 27 or preorder one today.
