SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE TAKES ON THE JUGGALOS

Just a couple of weeks ago, Dave Matthews did a pretty killer Ozzy Osbourne impression; now, this past Saturday, the show, which is usually pretty terrible these days, did a spot-on satire of that infamous Gathering of the Juggalos infomercial. If every sketch on SNL were still this funny, I’d say the show was actually worth watching.
This same episode also saw the debut of Nuno Bettencourt as Rihanna’s new guitar player. I’m not going to post video of that here, though, because Nuno’s talenters were just as wasted as you’d imagine they’d be playing in Rihanna’s back-up band.

As much as I wanted to laugh hysterically at this, I didn’t. SNL hasn’t been good since Will Farrell was on the show….and it hasn’t been good in 5 year increments since its incarnation in the 70′s.
This was ok, but there is no way to top the actual thing for humor. There is no room for parody here.

I don’t like SNL these days either, but that was still one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while. It’s good because people who have no idea what the Gathering is can still find this funny.
Just watched the original gather infomercial. Well, 6 minutes of it anyway. That’s all I could take. Unbelievable. Un-fucking-believable. To think that ten years in a row we could have decimated a huge portion of the wigger population in one weekend by simply contaminating their Faygo supplies, and we have not taken advantage of this situation yet. WTF?

Not to mention the fact that, in addition to outing yourself as a racist, you fail to pick up on the fact that ICP’s fans are not all white. Music transcends skin color.
Good send up of the gathering, although i didnt see any cat piss, ventriliquists, stilts, or the 3rd season of the facts of life at the REAL gathering, which even for metalheads would be a paradise.
I don’t see a weekend of shitty music while surrounded by white trash, middle school dropouts, and Burger King employees as paradise. Call me crazy.

The one band name Ms. Potato Dick was funny. Everything else about that was lame… just like SNL has been for about a decade now. I watched the whole infomercial for the actual Gathering of the Juggalos and I think I laughed harder at that then I did at the parody. That Sugar Slam chick is WAAAAAY too white to try and pull of ebonics. Nothing wrong with using ebonics, if that’s your thing, but some people just can’t pull it off.

man. SNL is starting to come back I think. Anything with Andy Samberg is hilarious. and their humor is getting more obscure and straight up weird and I like it that way. Most people probably don’t get it, but those who do will love it. but no matter how good this show is it won’t stop me from being blacked out trying to pick up fat chicks in a bar every saturday when it’s on.
