Nine Inch Nails and Soundgarden Announce Co-Headlining Tour

Fun fact: Nine Inch Nails’ most famous album, The Downward Spiral, and Soundgarden’s most famous album, Superunknown, were BOTH released on March 8, 1994. (Superunknown debuted at #1 on the charts, while Spiral came in at #2.) So the fact that these two acts have now announced a big summer co-headlining tour makes sense; this is the 90s alt-rock equivalent of the Mötley Crüe/Poison tour.

In more ways than one, in fact: just as certain members of The Crüe had been talking shit about Poison in the not-too-distant pass, it was only five years ago that Trent Reznor took not one but two shots at Chris Cornell in public. But time — and more importantly, money — heals all wounds, I guess. So this tour is a go. Attendance by anyone born before 1985 is basically mandatory.

Dates are below, courtesy of Metal Insider.  Support will come from Death Grips, I guess because Marilyn Manson wasn’t available or something.
