Pissed Regardless Make Great Metallic Hardcore for When You’re Pissed, Regardless

I admit, I first checked out Pissed Regardless because of their name. What can I say? This is not the first time the word “piss” has gotten our attention, and I’m sure it won’t be the last.

Especially because all of these bands keep turning out to be good! I consider the addition of Pissed Regardless to my life every bit as enriching as the additions of Pissgrave and Cemetary Piss. Even though Pissed Regardless sound nothing like either of those bands.

What the San Diego quintet do sound like is sheer fucking FUCK YOU, a massive F5 tornado of broken glass and battery acid. It is the soundtrack to your unwillingness to forgive or forget in the face of blind rage. It’s heavy and crunch and fast and exists in that delightful intersection between hardcore and metal that is just, MWAH!, perfect. It’s easy to imagine Pissed Regardless filling the void left by Trap Them.

Treat yourself to Pissed Regardless’ pummeling new single, “Halls of Hate,” below. The track will appear on the band’s upcoming album, Imperial Cult. It will be released digitally October 11, with a limited (250 copies in the first pressing) edition vinyl run in two different colored variants shipping out October 18 via Creator-Destructor. Go here to pre-order the album and listen to another organ-melter of a song, “Three Decades.”
