Devin Townsend’s Will Be Performing Casualties of Cool Material on Upcoming Tour, Band Lineup Revealed

0

Devin Townsend is planning a number of different tours over the next couple of years, each with a different musical focus. As such, he’s pledged to tool each touring outfit appropriately, with different personnel on each run.

First up: a European tour in November that Devin previously described as “a very selfish tour for me — a ton of people onstage, playing a bunch of stuff that I’ve wanted to play for years, a lot of improv, a lot of really interesting things.” The lineup for that run will be:

Guitar: Mike Keneally
Drums: Morgan Ågren
Bass: Nathan Navarro
Female Vocals: Che Aimee Dorval
Keyboard: Diego Tejeida
Auxiliary Guitar Loops: Markus Reuter

Keneally and Ågren, both frequent Towsend collaborators, should be familiar names to his fans. Che Aimee Dorval was part of Devin’s Casualties of Cool project, so it’s nothing short of a revelation to learn that material will finally be performed live (for the first time, I *think*, but don’t hold me to that). The other names are new to me, but if they’re playing with Devin I’m 100% certain they’re top-shelf players.
