Alice in Chains Make Bourbon Now

0

Move over, Metallica, Slipknot, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Killswitch Engage, In Flames, Atreyu, Mastodon, Opeth, Anthrax, Deftones, Motorhead and Municipal Waste… Alice in Chains are coming for you!

The Seattle-based grunge pioneers are the latest heavy band to release their own branded alcohol, dubbed All Secrets Known (the title of 2009 album Black Gives Way to Blue‘s opener — and likely a reference to what’ll happen once you start blabbing after drinking too much). The product is based on the standard FEW bourbon from Master Distiller Paul Hletko that’s finished in tequila barrels for six months and bottled at 101 proof (50.5% ABV). It’s described by the distiller as follows: “Bold, sweet, and spicy bourbon top notes that have become the hallmark of FEW and led to multiple category awards, are accentuated by grassy agave undertones.”

Hletko explains:

“There are no two spirits that have a closer association with rock and roll than whiskey and tequila. Alice in Chains is part of one of very few movements that can be legitimately credited with shapeshifting an entire culture, beginning with their first album, Facelift.

“Nobody sounds like Alice in Chains. We were inspired by their courage to create a sound that flouted convention and thought, ‘There are lots of tequilas finished in bourbon barrels, but it’s rare to find a widely available bourbon finished in tequila barrels. Let’s do that instead.’”

A 750mL bottle of the bourbon will set you back $75, and will soon be available in stores in California, Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. You can also order a bottle online through ReserveBar.com. You could also take a look at the best bingo sites on https://bingosites.bet/.
