Smashing Pumpkins Release Two More Songs, “Confessions of a Dopamine Addict” and “Wrath”

Following the simultaneous release of two surprisingly good songs back in August, Smashing Pumpkins — who are now Sumerian label mates with Born of Osiris and Veil of Maya — are back with another double-dose of new music.

The two latest entries, “Confessions of a Dopamine Addict” and “Wrath,” are in the same electronic-oriented vein as the first two. And, just like the previously released songs, they’re really good! I completely and wholeheartedly share in the general zeitgeist right now that this is some of the Pumpkins’ best material in years. Hooray for pushing forward instead of looking back to the past, ya know?

These songs, as well as the previous two, will appear on Cyr, a double album due on November 27 via the aforementioned Sumerian Records.
