Lorna Shore Drop Sweeping New Single “Sun//Eater”

0

Man, right now Lorna Shore are the band to beat! It seems like everyone in the metal world wants to make sure you know that these deathcore upstarts are on their hot list. Now, amidst all this roiling hype, the band have dropped a new single titled “Sun//Eater,” which you can check out below.

Let me make it clear that I’m not a huge deathcore fan, and might be considered by many in the scene unqualified to pass judgment on this song. But man, shit rips! It’s all epic and cinematic and sweeping, echoing acts like Septicflesh or Brand of Sacrifice. That level of black metal-leaning emotion and scope seem to be what these dudes do well, and here, it’s on full blast. Don’t worry, there’s still an ugly-ass breakdown that’ll have that one dude at the show with the pendulous gut stomping around the pit like he owns the place.

Say the band of the track:

“We’re so happy so be able to put out something different and new that further exemplifies who we’ve become as individuals and as a whole. This song/album really brings together everything that we’ve been working towards being and we couldn’t be more excited to share it with you all.”

Check out “Sun//Eater” below, and make sure to catch Lorna Shore on one of their upcoming tour dates listed here. The band’s new album Pain Remains is currently scheduled for October.
