Eavesdrop on a New Stray from the Path Song

Stray From the Path - Subliminal Criminals

Part of me thinks the new Stray from the Path song, “Eavesdropper,” is just another satisfying exercise in Rage Against the Machine worship, but part of me think it gets a little too close to nu-metal, especially when Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds contributes a guest rap. I mean, Stray frontman Andrew Dijorio does a lot of rapping anyway, but his voice doesn’t wanna make me wanna slam my head in a doorway. I may just be biased against Enter Shikari.

Regardless, gotta give this song props for actually dropping Edward Snowden’s name in the lyrics. Maybe Stray from the Path can team up with Ramming Speed for a “Protect Our Privacy” tour.

Check out “Eavesdropper” below. It will appear on Stray from the Path’s new album, Subliminal Criminals, comes out on August 14th via Sumerian Records.
